Art on the Lawn

Art on the Lawn began in Fall 2024 with the installation of “Fish Bones” on the Pratt House lawn.
“Fish Bones” was a creation of EHS volunteer Jim Loeffler, who helped inspire the program.

Art on the Lawn is designed to attract public attention and interest to EHS’ historic property while showcasing local and regional artists and their work — just one of many ways we strive to support our community!

Wish Upon a Star

by Marsha Borden, Guilford

In honor of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and EHS’s America 250 celebrations, Marsha has created two new works now on view at the Pratt House using red, white, and blue yarn. If you cannot come visit her works in person, visit her website and/or follow her Instagram @marshamakes.

Recent exhibitions of previous works include “Open Air 2025”, Alexey von Schlippe Gallery’s fifth annual exhibition of outdoor sculpture displayed along the shoreline path at UConn Avery Point, and separately at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook in 2021.
